A Study by Knowledge Networks indicates that Prime Time TV viewer habits are changing fast.. especially channel switching to skip ADS
Munir Attaullah fumes over the sick ass exploitation techniques that some channels are employing.
This piece was also featured at MuslimWakeup.com condemning mindless babbling over non(sense) issues..
What should you do if the authorities have rejected the visa application of your aged mother? Easy. Recite the identified verses of the holy book 41 times before Fajr prayers. Other problems, other remedies: sometimes the recommended incantations have to be repeated 111 times, sometimes 141 times, sometimes even 3,000 (phew!) times etc etc. Sometimes it must be done bareheaded. Sometimes water plays a critical role
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to ARY TV, a satellite channel dedicated to exploiting the commercial potential of the worldwide Urdu-speaking diaspora of righteous but confused Muslims.
Some one posted this in response to previous post at AdverActive.tk. which endorses some of the observations. Looks like WOL might be exploiting hotmail.. mmmm.. how clever :P
Excuse me, but do you really think WOL is paying for that banner?!
Get real man! Have you ever checked the rates MSN charges for such banners? I'm sure WOL will have to sell their company to pay for one week worth of advertising.
Here's what they are doing. They are simply redirecting the image file to their own banner [:-/] I bet you were using WOL when you saw that page. Try it with another ISP. Brain here in Lahore used to do the same thing. In other words, its like the local ads that cable providers run over prime time programs.
That is exactly why the link is not changed, they can modify their servers so that the user gets their banner on hotmail (and even on MSN Messenger) but they have yet to learn how to modify the html.
So... what traffic measurement, what click-thrus? what site visits? what online support requests resulting from click thrus?
No offence, but the next time you decide to write a whole article about the wild wild web, please start with some research.
Arey yehi to rona hai bhaiii.. Interactive advertising is NOT about banners. Any way, I stand corrected.. WOL is happy in the cock sure world that displaying banners is enuff..
testing photo post thru Hello!
heyyy this is so koool.. I just uploaded this pic with Hello! and now am editing this post. so simple, so easy. who can ask more.. blogger giving free blogs with lots n lotsa kool features, photo hosting and so much more.. I think its time we start a Team Blog about Media, Marketing, Advertising in Pak.. don't understand why people won't use AdverActive.tk :) Perhaps am not very good at promoting it or maybe due to the shock by sudden death of AT..
Well this is another attempt to revive the spirit.. While going thru AT archives I found a very good number of posters who were active and really had substance in their opinions and comments.. we used to have a title 'The Royals' for the frequent posters and this blog is in memory of the enthusiasm and balanced opinion shown by the Royals at AT..
Inspired by the Spider Blog;
- This will be a strictly moderated teamblog.
- Only members will be able to post and comment.
- Memberships are by invitation or upon request.
- Each member will get a personal named forum at AdverActive.tk where non-members will be able to interact.
Am seeking 25 members from all over Pakistan (Pakistanis abroad too) who wish to share professional opinions/insights with the community and volunteer to comment and report on the subject matter.. Since digital photography is picking up big time and
photo blogging has been made so easy, I think we must have some zealous ones among us who are into digital imaging and would like to post some original stuff..
